LDE is strongly community focused and so we have a number of on-going

projects as shown below. Watch this space for new projects as well.

A quarterly men’s network under the banner 'City Gates’ that seeks to mobilise men in the neighbourhood and engage issues pertinent to them. This network of men recently launched a group called ‘Fathers 4 Life’ aimed specifically at fathers. The “4” in the name representing 4 pillars of fatherhood namely:

1. Peer support (accountability and strength) - Iron sharpens Iron
2. Communal fathering (fathering the community)
3. Mentorship (holding up a light for the next generation of men and fathers - boys to men)
4. Skills for value based fathering. (Wholesome fathering … Glad to be a dad, Growing a father’s heart).
